Special Shape Bricks

From the company's inception to the early 1980s, Austral Bricks founder William Dawes was the driving force behind the company. His extensive industry knowledge and foresight led to Austral Bricks' purchases of significant clay reserves and established plants. He set the pace with the introduction of stiff extrusion texture bricks and his development of new technology and facilities ensured Austral Bricks would always be a market leader in the building and construction industry.

PRESSED SPECIAL SHAPE

PLINTH

The traditional use of the plinth brick is to taper two brickwork skins into a single skin, creating a decorative ledge effect.

A typical use is around the base course of a building, where two skins of brickwork below floor level taper into a single brick skin which forms the walls of the house.

Another application of the plinth brick is to provide beveled capping on walls.

WINDOW REVEAL

The window reveal brick creates a 45° bevel on brickwork adjoining the window. There are three bricks in the system - starter pieces both left and right, and the 45° reveal brick.

It can be used around any opening ie. windows, doorways, garage entrances or columns. It provides a sculptured or architect designed look for a perfect finish.
